Customer Review: Expensive vacuum has been very disappointing

We have had this vacuum for just about a year. Within a week of purchasing it, the connector between the wand and the canister unit broke. We were able to replace it with a new vacuum. Overall, I have been fairly pleased with the unit in terms of its suction ability, but design-wise, it is hard to stand the wand up on the motorized head without it tipping over. Seems like a small complaint, but this is very annoying. Most recently, the cord rewind part broke, so that it always wants to rewind, which means it often unplugs itself from the wall socket. This is VERY annoying. And also, the connector between the wand and the canister unit has become very wobbly and unsecure and I am concerned that it is going to break any day. We are not hard on our stuff, and the vacuum cleaner has not been used that often (just ask my husband). And our house is rather small! All in all, one would expect a higher quality product given the price. It is disappointing to think we will soon be faced with purchasing another vacuum. It will not be the same brand next time, unfortunately.Customer Review: Great vacuum

This vacuum gets up everything. You need to be strong as it will pull you across the room!! Love the attachments; got all the dog hair off of my sofa. Had to get used to a canister but it rolls along nicely behind me and I can easily pick it up when going around corners from room to room.Customer Review: Pretty Good Machine

I've had this vaccum for over 3 years and generally have been pleased with it. I really like the way the exhuast air is dispersed so it does not kick up dirt where you haven't vaccumed yet. My only complaint is haveing to replace the telescoping wand for $50 after 3 years. For what I originally paid, I don't expect major parts to be wearing out this soon.Customer Review: So Glad I Bought It!!

We just built a new house with mostly hardwood floors and my husband didn't want to spend money on a new vacuum. He thought a dust mop would work just fine on our new floors and thought our old uprights could do the rest of the work. Now . . . he's as sold on this combination vacuum as I am! There is absolutely no dusty emmission from the vacuum--just a good clean smell. As for the suction, it is marvelous. I've been doing some heavy duty cleaning over the past few weeks and this vacuum has been a delight. The design is very well thought-out and convenient. Some people have complained that the carpet powerhead only turns one direction and is difficult to handle. That is true--initially--but you soon learn how to handle it and now I don't think twice about it.
We purchased a refurbished model and it was worth every penny spent. The cord rewind did not work on the first vacuum we got but CPO Electrolux was wonderful about sending a replacement vacuum immediately. We have no complaints and would do it all again!

I find this vacuum cleaner as good as any, probably better than most. Easy to use, many features that are handy. Getting the "refurb" saved a few hundred dollars! When it arrived it clearly was a repack, but, it has not a scratch and seems to work perfectly. I wish vacuum cleaners were quieter - the only quiet ones I found in my research seemed to have a lot less suction power (mainly only useful for hard floors). Sigh.
